IMPACT ON SCHOOL TAX LEVY?

If voters approve the referendum, the passage is expected to have neutral impact on the school tax levy.

The current tax levy includes the maximum $4.05 Debt Service Levy amount previously approved by District patrons. A portion of this funding has been used to pay down existing outstanding debt. This has resulted in savings on the interest of those bonds. This is one aspect of the District's promise to the community to be a good steward of taxpayer dollars. Additionally, over the past ten years, the school board has been able to hold the overall school tax levy rate relatively consistent; actually reducing it by nearly $1.00 between FY10 and FY19. The school tax levy is only a portion of your total property tax bill.
